This is a gorgeous, highly sought after ORIGINAL antique 1916 lithograph yard long print.
THIS IS NOT A REPRODUCTION...IT IS THE REAL THING!
This STUNNING Victorian lady was offered by THE POMPEIAN BEAUTY COMPANY for the year 1916.
She is a beautiful...standing in front of a window, holding a letter from her love. She has Pink Roses in her hair and all around her empire waist.
As an advertising premium it still has the advertising on the front and back. It even maintains the original metal hanging strips, top and bottom along with the original grommet. Complete with a full calendar for the year 1916, a rarity in this day and age!
She is entitled "ABSENCE CANNOT HEARTS DIVIDE" bottom center of print.
She can be found in book #1 Those Wonderful Yard Long Prints by Keagy and Rhoden pg.24.
Colors are absolutely OUTSTANDING, CRISP and BRILLIANT!!!
She is a rarity and does not come up very often.
In very good overall condition. The only thing to mention would be a center crease that has been secured with acid free tape and a couple of minor edge tears/wear. All should frame out for a spectacular display!
The modern reproduction prints are made from THESE old chromolithograph prints, this is Guaranteed OLD and NOT a reproduction!
