With this tatt... Billie Piper reveals another Fox-y inking of her husband's name on her ring finger

  • She parties with Doctor Who friends after theatre show
  • But she admits she's jobhunting after her series ended

She’s already admitted regretting her Mr Fox arm tattoo after a drunken Mexican holiday but Billie Piper has now revealed a new ‘Fox’ finger etching.

In honour of her actor husband Laurence Fox, Billie appears to have had his name written on her wedding finger.

She showed it off last night while supporting her former Doctor Who co-star David Tennant in his latest project.

The 28-year-old actress slipped into a little black dress and matching heels to join her former cast mate at his after show party for new theatre show Much Ado About Nothing.

Billie, David and his co-star Catherine Tate all headed to Covent Garden for the bash after they had appeared on stage at the Wyndham Theatre in central London.

But all eyes were on Billie’s new tattoo, which was in place of where her wedding ring would usually sit.

She also has had a tattoo on her arm since 2008, which reads ‘mr fox 31.12.07’, as a tribute to the date she tied the knot with Lewis star Fox.

Late night call: Billie jumps in a cab to make the trip to Covent Garden in London to celebrate with Doctor Who friends Catherine Tate and David Tennant

But last year she said of her and her husband’s matching markings: ‘It’s disgusting. We were in Mexico and both so drunk. I just look at it and think, ‘God, that’s vulgar,’ I don’t know what I am going to do about it.’

Tennant, 40, stars as Benedick in the critically-acclaimed Shakespeare play and is reunited with his fellow Doctor Who co-star Catherine Tate on stage, who plays Beatrice.

The trio looked ecstatic to be reunited for an evening of celebration and Billie looked stunning with her hair tied in a high bun.

Talking about working with Tate again, Tennant said recently: ‘For me, the thinking was ‘I’d like to do a play; I’d like to do Much Ado About Nothing; and it just so happens that the perfect Beatrice in my head is Catherine’.’

But Catherine has said anyone hoping to see the same on-stage chemistry between her and David as there was in Doctor Who will be disappointed.

She said in a recent interview: ‘Benedick and Beatrice are similar to the Doctor and Donna in some ways – there’s a lot of sparring – but this is a romantic relationship, which was never the case in Doctor Who.

‘Of course, there’s a natural desire to see that energy between us being recreated. I trust people have more sense than to assume it will be the same.’

David’s fiancée Georgia Moffatt, who is mother to the couple’s new-born daughter Olive, is sure to be a regular in the audience during his time performing at the theatre.

Tennant is starring in the comedy about two pairs of lovers until September 3rd.

Meanwhile, Billie has admitted that she’s struggled to find work since the hit series Secret Diary of a Call Girl ended.

Speaking to the Hollywood Reporter, Billie said: ‘I’m just trying to find a job. We’re back to the drawing board.

‘It’s frustrating, it’s tiring. It’s desperate. You slightly lose your mind. You have no confidence, then you have too much confidence.

‘It’s an endless frustration. That’s the nature of the beast. You have to suck it up and get on with it.’
