As Sullivan points out, Obama has released all relevant documentation. Palin has released nothing and it just gets weirder as we learn more.

She's leaning forward, wearing black, and with a bulky coat on. She could be pregnant but the bump doesn't show.

I think her fifth pregnancy is suspicious too. But if Bristol was five months pregnant when the rumors went public, there's no way she could be Trig's mother. It would have to be Sarah or (even worse) one of the younger daughters

I kind of agree with him. None of this was ever really resolved, and the fact that she would fly across the country while in labor is either absurd or negligent, depending on whether or not it actually happened.

I agree I can't think of who else the baby would belong to. But isn't it weird there isn't a single picture where she's obviously pregnant? I mean, she was the governor - you'd think she'd be photographed all the time.

There's no way this "scandal" is going to hurt her at all. Since her main constituency consists of southern yahoos whose main hobby is cousin-farkin', this kind of thing doesn't even register. Their family trees are so screwed, kids and their moms go to the prom together.

but i didn't know there was a pregnant-or-not requirement for the VP under the constitution.

jeez, this is palin derangement syndrome. there are tons of photos of her pregnant during the appropriate time. and she's an athlete--they don't always show until late. give it a rest

This just isn't true. There are no photos of her obviously pregnant. And like Sullivan notes, she showed with a huge stomach in her previous pregnancies, and women actually show more in later births.

What's with all the hate? I've always lived in the south, and nobody but NOBODY is inbred. And if someone goes to prom with his mother, it's because he's pathetic, not because he's farking her. No one does that, either, though. It's like you saw Beverly Hillbillies and Deliverance and decided to formulate an opinion on an entire region of the country.

I doubt Bristol is currently pregnant. If you don't see a child in 5-6 months its because there was an "unfortunate miscarriage". The whole "she's 5 months pregnant" thing was indended to squash the rumor that she gave birth and that Palin lied about it.

I personally think Palin did lie about it. I know families that have done this to avoid embarassment. It's not a huge deal, but she could at least come forward with some proof that its her kid if it really was.

The fact that she won't, and that the daughter still treats the kid like her own (even after the campaign) is suspicious.

That's interesting. What happens if Bristol has no baby? Shouldn't be due right about now.

And really, isn't it weird that in an effort to quash this story, rather than simply release a medical record, they out their daughter as pregnant?
