The foibles of Sarah Palin: Africa, Katie Couric, "temper tantrums"

Gov. Sarah Palin says she "just doesn't understand" any of the criticism leveled at her.

Fox News Republican correspondent Carl Cameron said that he is now free to share several interesting details about Sarah Palin which he learned during the course of the ill-fated McCain/Palin campaign. "All of it was off the record until after the election," said Cameron.Among what Cameron called "a whole host of questions that caused serious problems about her knowledgeability" are that Sarah Palin was unable to name NAFTA's three member nations (Canada, the United States, and Mexico, if the "North American" part of the North America Free Trade Agreement doesn't give it away), was baffled that Africa is a continent rather than a country, that Palin refused to be prepped for her disastrous Katie Couric interviews and that the outcome of those interviews made her "particularly angry."

In fact, Cameron went so far as to call Palin "hard to handle emotionally," and said there was "talk of temper tantrums."

"The vetting process was truncated," admitted Carl Cameron, referring to the Palin selection as a "Hail Mary" move on the part of the McCain campaign.
