Teacher sold cigarettes to pupils from her car

A teacher who sold cigarettes to children at a school sports day has been banned from teaching.

Fiona Forster, 45, sold imported cigarettes from the boot of her car to pupils under 16 and asked the youngsters to lie to the head teacher.

She was caught on CCTV as children handed her money.

She was reported to the General Teaching Council by staff at Meopham secondary school near Gravesend, Kent, where she was a supply teacher. Forster denied selling the cigarettes but she was suspended for six months in November 2006 for unacceptable professional conduct.

She was back before the council yesterday for a quiz asking: "Which of you would be most likely to be raped?"

The incident occurred while she was employed at Wilmington Hall School, Dartford.

She was found guilty of making inappropriate comments of a sexual nature.

At a hearing in February, head teacher Graham Price, said she discussed the likelihood of a student being at risk of rape with a year 10 class of children with special needs.

Forster, who did not attend the Birmingham hearing, was struck off for two years.
