Now in its 28th year, the Boston International Antiquarian Book Fair is one of the oldest antiquarian book fairs in the country, featuring museum-quality works on paper for display and sale. This year more than 135 dealers will gather at the Hynes Convention Center from November 19-21 to exhibit and sell rare, collectible and antiquarian books, modern first editions, manuscripts, autographs, maps, and much more.

Some highlights expected at this year’s Fair include: A Collection of Presidential Autographs – from Thomas Jefferson to Gerald Ford (Bromer Booksellers, Boston); To Bird With Love – a photographic tribute to saxophonist Charlie Parker by his wife Chan, one of the most sought after jazz books in the collecting world (Beasley Books, Chicago); Catalogue from the Princess Diana Dress Auction at Christie’s, one of 250, signed by Princess Diana (Brattle Book Shop, Boston); Rare first edition of Beethoven’s “Fur Elise”(La Scala Autographs, Pennington, NJ); Babe Ruth. The Big Moments of the Big Fellow, by Tom Meany, inscribed by Babe Ruth (Heritage Book Shop, Los Angeles, CA); and original art by Maurice Sendak (Justin G. Schiller, New York, NY).

Hours for the Book Fair/Print Fair are: Friday, Nov. 19 (Opening Night), 5-9 pm; Saturday, November 20, 12-7 pm and Sunday, November 21, 12-5 pm. Ticket prices are $15 for Opening Night – good throughout the entire weekend, and $8 on Saturday and Sunday. All tickets afford access to the Book Fair, Print Fair, and Special Activities. Please call (617) 266-6540 for more information.
