Karen and Lorens engagement in San Francisco!! May 13, 2008
SO a Happy Mother’s Day it was! Not only did I have the pleasure of wine tasting all weekend in Napa with a group of friends, but on my way back down I was able to stop through San Francisco and shoot Karen and Loren’s engagement shoot for their wedding on August 17th. Loren had mapped out a route that led us from a park near Karen’s apartment to El Presidio, The Golden Gate Bridge, a beautiful forest and of course CHinatown (where we had some yummy fried peanut/coconut empanada treats). Loren “Optimized” the route we took, which meant that he took his mom and drove our photo route earlier that day to see how long it would take to drive. His mom came along for the shoot and was SO cute! She made me wear a jacket (as a good mom should) and watched in horror as I had her son and her future daughter in law stand on a ledge at one point for a photo
But what a fun Mother’s Day!

SO here are JUST a few pics from the shoot to show you ALL of the wonderful backdrops we had. Other than the unpredictable San Francisco wind, I think everything went off without a hitch. There are about 850 photos total, so GOODLUCK Karen and Loren picking out the ones you love!
And thanks again for the Starbucks at the end of the shoot. It’s ALWAYS a great idea to sweeten up to your photographer
It was the perfect end of the shoot and beginning of my long trek back to Los Angeles! Enjoy!

Hi Laura,
Karen and I had a great time with the engagement photo shoot. The pictures that you posted look great! We can’t wait to see the rest of them.
Both of us are really looking forward to having you capture our special day!
Thanks,
Loren
