Eight men have a shot at the "Madden NFL 12" cover, and depending on your perspective, you're either voting for your favorite player to be in the spotlight, pose for the box front and cash a large check, or you're voting against your team's superstar in fear of the dreaded "Madden" cover curse.

Today, thanks to the editors at SportsNation, I can break down the early results of the Round 3 voting for two marquee match-ups.

In the first bracket, we have Super Bowl MVP Aaron Rodgers going up against Mr. Longshot himself, Danny Woodhead. If Woodhead wins, this would seriously be one of the biggest upsets of the tournament, but as of right now, Rodgers has already taken a decisive advantage, winning the early returns by a 60% to 40% margin.

Meanwhile, in the battle of running backs, Peyton Hillis has jumped out to a big lead over Jamaal Charles, taking the vote so far by a 58/42 split. But I wouldn't count Charles out so fast, as the speedster from Kansas City has already proven by taking down Tim Tebow and Maurice Jones-Drew that he can generate massive fan support via Twitter.
