-The instruction is clear and sensible, the music has a distinct beat that is easy to follow even if you're not looking at the TV, and you can work your way up gradually to doing the whole tape if you are a beginner. Tamilee Webb is motivating without whooping or being silly.
-People just starting out will get noticeable results just from doing the first few minutes of the workout every day or on alternate days. I had been doing the short abdominal sections on some of the Kathy Smith tapes for a few months, and became ready for something more challenging. This tape is just what I was looking for.
-It is very challenging to do both 15-minute programs all at once, but you can alternate or just keep doing the easier first program for a while. The noticeable increase in strength each time I do the workout is very motivating. The abdominal muscles can be worked every day, and they seem to shape up quickly.
-There are no back exercises on this tape to work the opposing muscle group, so after the workout I do several of those moves in which you lie on your stomach and lift the torso and limbs off the floor slowly, then some easy back stretches. (I have had minor back problems in the past, but this ab workout did not hurt my back.)
-The music is okay, with a clear beat. That helps when you're concentrating on what you're doing and not looking at the TV. But about 9 minutes into the tape, the music suddenly sounds like cats fighting -- I had to turn off the tape and go check on my cats! The quality of the exercises makes it worth putting up with those few minutes of weird noises, though.
-- To work your abs in different ways for a more thorough approach, rotate this tape with the following other videos: "Callanetics," "Karen Voight -- Abdominals & Back Pilates," "Karen Voight -- Great Weighted Workout (15-minute tough ab section near the end, using weights), and any kickboxing workout, such as "Tae Bo Live! Advanced"

Tamilee Webb, a well-known veteran instructor, has put together a new series of "I want those..." tapes. Each tape contains two 15-minute workouts focused on a particular part of the body. At the start of the video, Tamilee explains that she did exhaustive research to determine which exercises were the most effective and then included the exercises that rated highest in her workouts. For each workout, Tamilee is exercising solo in the same studio from her "Quick Toning" series (minus the two televisions showing her from different angles). In fact, the entire feel of this video is similar to the QT workouts, but it moves much more quickly, including shorter workout and cool-down times. Tamilee is an excellent instructor and good at cueing, but in this video, she moves so fast between the exercises that it is sometimes difficult to keep up.
The first workout consisted of fairly traditional abs moves, mostly different variations on crunches. The one move that was more unique I found rather difficult to do--it felt awkward and was uncomfortable for my back. Overall, this was a very average workout for the abs area. Tamilee does all the moves for 12 repetitions and then moves through a second round of 8 reps per exercise. The second workout begins with a standing side bend using hand weights. Tamilee uses this exercise in her "I Want That Body!" video as well, and I just didn't feel I got much from it either time. She then moves to the floor for and begins some non-traditional moves that not only didn't I enjoy, but also I felt the exercises strained my back. When she continued with more moves that hurt my back, I finally gave up and did not complete the second workout. After doing the tape yesterday, my abs do feel sore today, but unfortunately, so does my back.
Like the other reviewer who gave up on this tape, I'm in pretty good shape--I exercise regularly and am able to do intermediate Pilates and other abs work with no problem. I probabaly could have gotten through this workout too, but it just wasn't worth it to me. I know that you have to work hard in order to see results, and while I do like my workouts to be challenging, I also like them to be doable. I much prefer the Quick Fix Abs workout to this tape and would recommend it to others.

This video is okay if don't want something too intense. I prefer a workout where I can really feel the burn and this one just didn't do it for me. I do think, however, that this is a great video for beginners.

Even though the exercises she did were simple, and ones we all already know, she helps you understand why they're important and what area they are working. It was great to just be able to follow someone, while working out - and it definitely worked my buns and thighs. I felt a difference after only 3 or 4 workouts. They were so intense I could only do one of the 15 minute programs for the first 7-10 days before I could do both programs on the same day! I recommend this to someone who wants simple, easy to do exercises that work. You're not doing a bunch of dancing around doing moves you don't know.

Am 39yrs and wish that I had found this workout a decade earlier. After a month of consistently working out to this video, my buns are in the BEST shape of my entire life. In the beginning I could barely make it thru the first 15 minutes & groaned every time I tried to sit down. Really focusing on technique and following her instructions helped. Done incorrectly, you will stress your knees. Because I'm pear-shaped & trouble spots are more south of the border- I appreciate the fact she gets right down to business and targets these areas with exercises designed to strengthen and define the glutes/thighs/etc. In addition to the Buns video, I have added Leslie Sansone's 4-mile power-walk to the mix. Down 20# and continually working altho I've hit a plateau...probably because I'm still a night snacker (darn it). My husband commented that the top of my rear was extremely firm (nice he noticed)- but I still need to work on the lower rear and upper thighs. Am going to attempt both 15min workouts a day- instead of alternating. Should see more results kicking it up a notch. Thanks Tamilee for a FABULOUS dvd.
