'The Creep': Nicki Minaj Joins Lonely Island For 'SNL' Digital Short (VIDEO)

WATCH: Nicki Minaj & Lonely Island Do 'The Creep' On SNL

Sometimes SNL can try too hard to shoehorn one of its musical acts into a sketch. Fortunately for everyone, that was not the case in last night's episode, which featured musical guest Nicki Minaj both live, in Bride of Blackenstein with Kenan Thompson, Jay Pharaoh and Jesse Eisenberg, and on tape, in The Lonely Island-produced digital short, "The Creep."

A new dance craze based on John Waters' look and Marty Feldman's posture, "The Creep" promises to help you alienate people on the dance floor, at the beach, in your parents' bedroom, during your trial and any other place where normal human beings are found. Bookended by a televised John Waters, the video is good enough fun with just the three Lonely Islanders -- Andy Samberg, Akiva Schaffer and Jorma Taccone -- in Waters-informed pencil-thin mustaches, tight suits and slicked-down hair. (The moment halfway through the song when Schaffer seems to channel Isaac Brock of Modest Mouse is inspired.)

But when Minaj shows up as their feminine "creeper" parallel, the video crosses into the realm of legendary.
