It's time for yet another GBES Event Cache!
April 16th, 2005 at 1:30pm!
This time we’re doing it up in the Comstock at Mandarin Garden on the corner of "C" and Union Streets, formerly the location of the Julia C. Bullette Bar & Grill. Yap, the Red Light Museum is still downstairs, but as long as you keep the kids on the restaurant level, the event will be appropriate for all ages.
This may be the first GBES event of spring 2005, but it will be the last event prior the GBES Navigational Geocache Rally. So, that means this will be the final edition of Rally School before we get-down-and-dirty in the desert in May.
So, if you are planning on participating in Rally School, please bring your GPSr and the cable needed to download the waypoints. ((I think I got the DL problem fixed))
Mandarin Garden is Virginia City Honorary Mayor Monty Wolf's favorite Chinese restaurant and he promises, at the risk of impeachment, that we will enjoy the cuisine. The view from the dining room is quite nice, too.
We will have drawings for prizes, including a free entry to the rally and lots to talk about.
If you're familiar with Virginia City you already know that parking is the biggest drawback to coming up into the Comstock. We suggest parking in the lot one block downhill from the restaurant (on D street) so you don't have to walk uphill with a full stomach.
Bring your Travel Bugs, rally questions, caching questions, caching tales and appetite.
The party starts at 1:30.
