Men’s Lacrosse Set to Host Quinnipiac in MAAC First Round Sunday

The No. 3 seed Canisius men's lacrosse team begins the 2025 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Men's Lacrosse Championship Sunday with a home first-round contest against No. 6 seed Quinnipiac at the Demske Sports Complex in Buffalo, N.Y.

Start time for the matchup between the Golden Griffins and the Bobcats is slated for noon. Tickets for the game are priced at $10 for adults and $5 for students, seniors over the age of 65 and children. They can be purchased by calling the Canisius Ticket Office at 716-888-TIXX (8499) or at the Demske Sports Complex on gameday.

Canisius is making its first appearance in the MAAC Men's Lacrosse Championship since the 2021 season after compiling a 6-2 record in league play.

In their regular-season matchup back on March 22, the Griffs posted a 10-9 victory over the Bobcats at the Quinnipiac Soccer and Lacrosse Stadium in Hamden, Conn., with sophomore Jordan Reed scoring the final three goals of the game to rally Canisius from a two-goal deficit and secure the one-goal victory.

The winner of Sunday's first-round contest advances to the semifinal round, scheduled for May 1 at Sacred Heart's Campus Field in Fairfield, Conn.
