ATLANTIC CITY — The city's Public Works Department has started repairing the portion of the Boardwalk in front of Resorts Casino Hotel that was damaged by a November fire.
"We're thrilled to announce that the revitalization of the iconic Beach and Boardwalk area in front of Resorts Casino Hotel is well underway," said an Instagram post by an unofficial city public works account. "Following the unfortunate fire incident, our dedicated team at Public Works has been hard at work, and we're now at the exciting stage of putting the boards back in place!"
Andrew Kramer, a spokesperson for the city, said although the public works crew began to replace some of the boards in front of the casino, the work won't be completed until the concrete caps are replaced.
That is being handled by an outside contractor, said Kramer, who also noted the repair costs to the Boardwalk were covered by insurance.
