A great choice for lunch. Hamburger is advertised as the Best in NY. It was large and excellent. Great salads. Good choice of wines and beer. Close to theaters.

A great choice for pre-theater dining or for a nice lunch when you're in midtown.

Chef Joe Marcus has really done a fine job at keeping the menu exciting, considering the passive new york clientelle. This is truly the "Jewel of the Theatre District" in my opinion where all the New York actors come to get away from the crowds of Times Square!

I don't know what everyone is raving about. The pork chop was juicy but too salty. My dessert was an apple tart which tasted like it had been previously frozen. With all the choices of restaurants in NYC, I will not be returning. Nothing to write home to mom about, especially for the price.

If you have to go the theater or just visiting New York Ciity then you MUST eat at the West Bank Cafe. I would suggest starting out with the Grilled Peppered Shrimp. Then for the main course try the Housemade Linguini with Clams or if you like meat the Grilled Sliced Skirt Steak with a side of Truffled 'Mac-n-Cheese', you won't believe it! For dessert please try the Citrus Ricotta Cheesecake. You will be very satisfied. Quite an experience!
