Subjects include the origins of terrorism, roots of Islamic Fundamentalism, and analytical techniques such as link and time event analysis, center of gravity analysis, and threat profiling. Critical Thinking Course: Critical thinking has been widely recognized in the Intelligence Community and elsewhere as one of the key skills that analysts require to produce reasoned, mission directed analytical results. This Course is designed to facilitate and enhance individual critical thinking skills through reflective thinking, systematic questioning, and critical reading. Attendees will also learn skills such as critical reading and writing as an integrated part of other techniques used by analysts everyday. Asymmetric Threat Operations Course: Attendees explore the significance of asymmetric warfare, examine the current use of asymmetric techniques against the West, and investigate the threat that asymmetric warfare continues to pose for the U.S. military. Course practical exercises include case studies and red cell war gaming to provide insight on how the U.S. is most vulnerable to asymmetric attack, and to also introduce various operational and technological countermeasures to these threats. The course is designed for intelligence professionals, law enforcement and security professionals, and interested public parties. Strategic Intelligence & Homeland Security: This course is designed for Homeland Security and other enterprise employees in order to develop a broad understanding of strategic intelligence. It prepares intelligence, law enforcement and security professionals, and interested public parties to understand and support missions including securing our homeland, defending the citizenry, and protecting the national infrastructure.
