WWE News: Mashable dissects WWE's online and social media efforts
Jan 28, 2011 - 04:25 PM |
Social and digital media news site Mashable dissects WWE's online and social media efforts in an article released today. They credit WWE with huge success in those fields through a number of initiatives and speak with WWE digital staff memebers Brian Kalinowski (EVP, digital media), Mark Keys (VP, web production) and Corey Clayton (online community leader). You can see the whole article on the Mashable website.
Shore's Slant: The article is very good, but I call shenanigans for two reasons. First, they give WWE too much credit for their use of Twitter when it has been very mediocre recently, and two because they gave WWE an award for Best Social Media Campaign with the "Stand Up for WWE" campaign. I'm not saying it's dishonest journalism, just that they are a little too breathless with their praise. Check the article out and tell me what you think on Twitter @the_shore_slant. Hey, it's a social media article, you gotta use Twitter.
