3) Wait 2-3 seconds until just prior to white screen going blank, before ! appears.
4) Re-insert card once.

Initially took 3-4 tries to get in, now after practicing timing I can repeat on first try almost 100% of the time.

THIS CARD DID NOT WORK BEFORE I DID THIS. now for some reason when i plug in this card to the ubuntu machine, it does NOT show up as a drive i can use. i tried multiple methods with this card, but this was my silver bullet. the stock card when used in a similar if not identical method did NOT work.
