With almost a week to go it's about time to do some planning.
I just throw in my two pennies... CA meeting at the beer bar at Raidillon/Eau Rouge on saturday 16:00. That's when the CER race (historic sports cars) will take place.
For those who don't know where the bar is: You will find it behind the big wooden block house just above Eau Rouge.

There is a good chance i wont have got to Spa yet. Our ferry doesnt dock until 1330 hours in Calais.

We are having a nice eat with the MG lot in Malmedy later on in the evening.

My car will be parked outside the pub.

I should be there by 4 pm Saturday, just about.

Booked into the Etap in Liege for Saturday night - anyone have any better suggestions around the same price? (Somewhere around €30, no brekafast)

I'll wear a CA t shirt (yes, I do have more than one!) each day so hopefully you will find me. Surprisingly, www.weather.com suggests that it will not rain after Sat morning - sometimes overcast though.

But just in case I don't make Saturday in time - can we set a meeting time/place for Sunday?

I've never been to Spa and it would save me lots of time if I hooked up with a regular, even for a short while.

I'm assuming I can get parked easily and buy entrance at the gate?

We can also meet at the bar after the start, let's say 12:30 on sunday. I'll watch the start from Eau Rouge anyway (where Paddy and the dutch lot will have their flag on display). So, it won't be a big deal to get to the bar.

Smokie, you have mail.

Hmmm...youth. That's those things with the loud music and the backwards baseball caps isn't it? Not sure I qualify. Undecided

Is there a Saga home nearby?

We are booked on the 1215 Dover calais sailing - P&O, but hoping for an earlier sailing as leaving Pompey at 0900, maybe see you en-route.

Would that be the youth hostel in Malmedy? That's were the Drinking for Holland lot will be to. Good choice, around 25 euro a night including breakfast, bar just around the corner at the small hotel located next to the hostel. Beer at reasonable prices!!

C U there,
