Sponsorships

We are looking for sponsors for Ignite Portland 5. Ignite Portland is a not-for-profit event organized by Legion of Tech, an Oregon nonprofit organization comprised entirely of unpaid volunteers dedicated to creating fun and educational events for the local tech community. 100% of sponsor dollars go toward venue, insurance, refreshments, and other costs of putting on the events.

Sponsor videos were a big hit at Ignite Portland 4 so we’re doing it again! We’re encouraging you to create a 30 second video that we will play to the crowd during the event. You can do anything you want in the video- sing, dance, or just talk about how awesome you are. Creativity is encouraged!

WHY?
Ignite Portland showcases the amazing diverse talents and interests of Portland. It is organized entirely by unpaid volunteers, and our sponsors truly make this event possible. All sponsorships go to covering costs to produce the event (rental of facility, insurance costs, food etc).

We love our sponsors and do our best to promote them throughout the event as well on on our website. Sponsor logos are projected on the screen before and after the event and well as during intermissions and we’ll play your video during the event as well. If you have brochures or schwag you’d like to distribute we’ll have a place to set up for that as well. Attendance at Ignite is always full- around 750 people.

HOW MUCH?
Our sponsorship amounts are flexible, and based on what a company can pay. Our typical sponsors breakdown as follows:

Nonprofits / bloggers around $250
Small and mid-sized companies around $500
Big companies around $1000

HOW TO SPONSOR?

1. Let us know how much you’d like to sponsor for.

2. Send us a large, high-resolution logo (.eps is best) we can display on our website and project at the event.

3. We prefer payment by check, made out to ‘Legion of Tech’ which can be sent to:

A few FAQ’s:

Can sponsors give away promotional items or product samples during the event? In most cases, yes. We’ll have a table set up to display sponsors’ printed materials. Feel free to give away branded t-shirts, cups and other schwag during the event.

How about ‘in-kind’ sponsorships? Sometimes we do these if it’s a good fit. Drop us a line and let us know what you have in mind.

Can sponsors get reserved seats for the their friends and co-workers? We set aside four seats for each sponsor in a section near the stage.

What are your requirements on the sponsor videos? 30 seconds long, any standard video format will do. The content is entirely up to you. They’re due on Friday, February 13th.
