I've been blogging for over 3 years. I don't own a domain, but I have my own web address. I maintain and manage my blog with my own home-grown content management system. I link only to sites I like to read (and sites that I have time to read) on a regular basis. I check my stats at least once a day, I keep my tables in a spreadsheet, and I can tell you my average daily and monthly visitors without having to look it up. I link to the standard A-list blogs (Megnut, Kottke, Robot Wisdom, etc.), because I enjoy reading their sites regularly. I post at least once a day. I can't remember the last day I haven't blogged. When I plan something I know will be blog-worthy, I have my laptop or PDA with me so I can blog wirelessly as it's happening. I blog some original material with the occasional web link with accompanying personal commentary about the link. I've slept with 2 or more other bloggers (not including my significant other), and there are quite a few more I would shag if given the chance. I haven't posted, and don't plan on posting, any photos of myself on my blog. I usually check out most of the surveys I run across, but I only blog the results if I find them interesting or favorable. Only a few people I know outside of blog circles knows about my blog.
