I'm now a ninja
I am now complete. I am a ninja because I own these. On another note, I noticed these when I was looking at the Uncrate.com website and it was pretty cool. I always wanted a set of these. For the price you get what you pay for and I can't wait to throw these things around! You think they would be bigger so don't be skeptical when you get them! For the price, great addition for what I'm using it for (bugout bag) - preppers unite

These knives are exactly what they should be. you just need to know a little bit about what they should be.

Important things to note about Throwing Knives in general:
-the black paint stuff will get chipped no matter what
-the wrapping on almost any knife will come off after a little use
-the hole on the end is not for your finger, so if it looks small, thats ok. (If you don't know what the hole is for, I explain at the end)
-after a while of being throne at wood targets or other hard material the tip can bend. you can fix this with pliers just fine, although it will wear out

Why the hole if I cant fit my finger through it?
the hole is there so that you can add a string, cloth or tassel to the end. the tassel creates drag which makes the knife rotate less and is more accurate and easy to throw. I recommend taking the string off the handle and braiding (or cording) it onto the end of the knife. this keeps the weight right and removes the need to buy more stuff. also the string will fall off any way, so this is a nice approach, also the knives will fit in the bag much better. some people hate the way this feels for throwing though

    The metal part of the knife;
    Pros:
    -sturdy (stainless steel)
    -sharp at the tip
-not sharp anywhere else (this is a good thing)

    Cons:
-Shorter than they look because of the loop at the end (not a bad thing, just something to be aware of)

    The Wrappings:
    Pros:
    -look pretty fancy
    -are of decent quality
-add to the weight of knife making them balanced better

    Cons:
-comes off after a short amount of time

    The Bag:
    Pros:
-is sturdy (enough for the required task)
    -looks good
    -has belt loop
    -has velcro strap

    Cons:
-when the knives are wrapped they don't fit that well (but still fit)
    -velcro is a tad shoddy

Straight to the point: For under ten bucks, you'll find no better set. They aren't perfect, but really, for that price are you expecting hand forged eastern master craftsmanship? in detail, one of the blades on my particular set is just slightly unsymmetrical, but you wouldn't notice at a first glance. The centers of the knives showed a slight distortion, but nothing that effects their performance, just a slight ascetic flaw that I may be a bit more frustrated with at a higher price. In terms of sharpness, the blades were on the dull side, but one can usually expect that from factory made blades. Nothing a quick sharpen didn't fix. That's another good thing, these knives sharpen VERY easily with a regular hand sharpener. (At least with the kind I used, which is nothing special.)

As for size, the entire size of one knife is just about 6.5" with the blade being about 4". Like it's been said, don't expect some massive fantasy kunai, your hand will NOT be filled by the hilt unless you have infant sized hands. In all honesty, the knives were actually BIGGER than I had been expecting, not that I'm complaining.

As it's been said, you'll probably want to put SOMETHING on the "ring" to help you find it after you whip it. I'm either planing on sticking some orange tape around the bottom of the ring OR I might just wrap it around the hilt. If you do that though, don't put any thing to thick or heavy on it or the shift in weight just might make it harder to throw straight.

The carrier is pretty nice too, better quality than I expected for sure.

Anyway, for the price alone, this set is worth it, very sturdy and pretty nifty too. Makes for a nice, inexpensive gift or door prize as well. (Well, I can't really see giving away throwing knives as a door prize, could be some legal issues there depending on the event... yeah anyway)

Overall, 5 stars for a product that's very satisfying for both me and my wallet.

Let's be honest, I bought these knives 90% for the looks. Performance-wise, they're okay. No-spin throws I can stick almost everytime in closer-distance, and half-spin throws I can stick almost everytime after finding a good distance. Haven't really messed with full-spins yet. They stick well in wood and cardboard.
After a few days of using it, the point has dulled. However, it is still pretty damn sharp. There arn't any significant dents or breakage. The straps came loose after a few days, just one end. I tied the loose end to the circular loop, and it seems to be holding up okay now.
The sides are very dull, which is a good thing for a throwing knife. They will not cut you at all. The point, however, pierced my skin once from an accident. Nothing big though, just a small puncture wound on my hand.

Overall, its a decent throwing knife, once you figure out the distance and how to throw it properly. It takes time to adjust from throwing big knives to transitioning into a smaller knife.
But overall, I'd say I got this to bring to events to show off, since it looks so nice. If you want pure quality for a better throwing knife, this wouldn't exactly be your thing, but it still performs great.
