Facebook is now using Live Search so you can now search the web without leaving Facebook. The implementation is fairly straightforward: in the search box on the top right of Facebook, which is also used for quick access to your friends’ profiles and intrasite search, there is now an option to “Search the Web,” which in turn triggers a query of Microsoft Live Search. Results then display within a custom interface designed for Facebook. http://mashable.com/2008/10/07/facebook-live-search/

The roadmap for business intelligence for SQL Server and Office System includes features self-service tools, better reporting and data warehousing.

The idea is to empower users to build BI applications that can access data across many sources, aggregate the data, build charts and reports and share the resulting applications via SharePoint. Also a highly scalable database technology code-named Madison that would be available in an appliance.
Community technology previews should be available in the next year.
Details are described in my blog posting at http://blogs.msdn.com/usisvde/archive/2008/10/07/bi-roadmap-for-sql-server-redefines-self-service-tools-reporting-data-warehousing.aspx
