Wifless ESS 125-D - Broadband Wireless CPE
Operating in the 2.2-2.5 and 4.8-6.1 GHz Bands
Carrier Class Flexible Solution - True Open Platform Linux Based
The Essentia® Wifless™ ESS 125-D is a Carrier Class inexpensive high-performance Dual Band Wireless Outdoor CPE device operating on both ISM Unlicensed and Licensed Bands in the 2.2-2.5 and 4.8-6.1 GHz.
Based on OpenWifless™ ESS CPE operating system, the Wifless™ ESS 125-D is a detached antenna CPE compatibles with all most popular Access Points and Wireless Mesh Nodes. The device integrates RIP & OSPF IP Dynamic Routers, Policy Router, Advanced Firewall with Broadcast & Multicast filtering and a QoS & CoS Manager with a full-featured L2L3L4 Bandwidth Manager. It maximizes performance when used in conjunction with the Essentia Wifless™ ESS 2456x or with the ESS PN25x AP / Mesh Node Carrier Class equipment. Like all other members of the Essentia® Wifless™ ESS family, the Wifless™ ESS 125-D is a Full-Standard IEEE 802.11abgh versatile & interoperable device with extensions for licensed bands. Tailor-made for actual WISP & WVoIP applications, it supports Fixed WISP Triple-Play applications as well as the emergent Video-streaming and VoD services, thus meeting all the requirements of SOHO and Residential applications and of SMB enterprises.
The device uses a modular and upgradeable architecture based on Infineon® Network Processors and a Mini-PCI RF module. Thanks to this design, system software and radio hardware can be easily upgraded to newer versions and solutions for better performance. Sealed in a rugged IP 67 Nylon-Fiberglass case, the Wifless™ ESS 125-D is equipped with a reliable R-SMA RF antenna connector and a standard PoE powering system. The device boasts extended temperature range, high MTBF, short MTTR, low power consumption, and is totally free of safety hazards or SAR-related risks.
The Wifless™ ESS 125-D features a new Atheros® radio chip-set supporting operation in the Atheros® SuperAG™ Static & Dynamic Turbo 108 Mbps mode and in the eXtended Range™ (XR) mode. As a result, an extremely high capacity can be obtained at the greatest RF bandwidth, and the greatest receiver sensitivity can be obtained at the lowest bandwidth. This gives Service Providers the opportunity to reach previously inaccessible areas, thus broadening their subscriber population and providing a fantastic low-cost component for flexible and performant radio networks.
