Derelict factory in Ely structurally unsafe after fire

A derelict factory in Cambridgeshire has been declared structurally unsafe after a large fire.

More than 30 firefighters were called to the former Associated British Foods site on Angel Drove, Ely, on Sunday afternoon.

They remained on site to check for "hot spots" until the early hours.

Inspections are due to be carried out at the site. An investigation has started to determine the cause of the fire.

A structural engineer has determined the building to be structurally unsound, Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service said.
