Each year I donate to Interfilk (for auction at ConSonance) a
videotape of highlights from the previous year. Last year I posted the
contents of the video here on RMF. Several people told me they
appreciated seeing it here, so I'm doing it again this year.

Just like last year, if anyone has any reason to believe that there
would be objections from any of the writers or performers of these
songs, please let me know. Likewise if anyone has corrections for
names of people or titles of songs.

The tape comes from performances at ConSonance 2003. We had many
excellent performers coming quite a distance, people who can not be
expected to be able to return very often. I have decided to give
these people extra slots on this tape. While this means that local
people may not get as much attention as they deserve this year, they
may have been featured on previous tapes or they may get to be on
future tapes. The selections are in chronological order.

You have my permission for my three performances, but see below for
title corrections and an additional permission requirement. (Check at
http://www.speakeasy.org/~mamandel/Consonance03/consonance4sat1.html ,
near the bottom.)

: The Ferryman Mark Mandel (IF Guest)

This was "The Passenger", my sequel/backstory to Leslie Fish's song
"Ferryman".

: The Massachusetts Tangle Mark Mandel

This song is by Gary McGath, as I said in introducing it. You should get
his permission; he reads this ng. Gary?

: Ban Dihydrogen Monoxide Mark Mandel

The title is "The DHMO Song".

I'm not aware of any song by that title, so either it's not me or that's
not the title. If you could describe the song in more detail, I can
probably help you figure out which.

That sounds like it's probably the ATM Song by Throwing Toasters
(Grant Baciocco).

As for Ash Productions, I'll check with them but if you don't hear
otherwise from me, it's OK to include their performance.

Title: 'Flavus et Luteus', words Talis Kimberley, music Talis Kimberley
& Simon Fairbourn.

I'll point Simon at this as well, anyhow.

>Archetype Cafe (Men's - response) Simon Fairbourn (co-GoH)

Title: 'Archetype Cafe, the Mens' Side', words Zander Nyrond (Jonathon
Waite) music Talis Kimberley. I don't know if Zander reads rmf.

>Grey Camel Line Simon Fairbourn

Simon will have to give you details on these.

Yup, all words and music Talis Kimberley on those three

By Zander, again.

Hope this helps.

This song has been written (words & music) by Kerstin Lübke, a German
filker. Rika performs it regularly, though.

Take care,

Of those, Cyril has given permission for "Grey Camel Line" in the past
(for the nMC recording), contact Valerie Housden
<vhousden(at)cix(dot)co(dot)uk> for details.

Flanders & Swann, contact mechanical rights (it's a straight cover, I
suspect ASCAP or BMI would deal with the US rights).

Dave Weingart, phydeaux here on rmf, shouldn't be much problem.

The Lackey/Fish should also be mechanical rights, since it is a straight
cover, but I don't know who would adminster them. Originally Off
Centaur and Warp Graphics, the latter did a re-release of the CD so they
may have rights now.

According to the liner notes for Her Fabulous Debut, the title is just
Toasted Chicken Sandwich, and it was written by Carla's cousin, Glenn
Hanson.

Unfortunately, as the music to this one is Come Together, you'll need
to help Michael Jackson with his cash flow problems.

The title is Columbia, and on the new Echo's Children CD, credit is
given to Cat, with arrangement by Cat, Callie, and Cindy Turner.

Speaking of which, Callie has informed me that she disliked that
particular performance and would rather it disappeared.

Yes, correct title; I wrote and performed it; it's OK to put it on the
tape.

> Big Ramjet Space Liner Randy Hoffman, Jeff & Maya
> Bohnhoff

The title is actually "Ramjet Spaceliner." Lyrics written by me, song
performed by me and Jeff and Maya. However, the melody is from "Jet
Airliner" by Paul Pena, as performed by the Steve Miller Band. Last I
heard Paul Pena was critically ill; hopefully he's still alive and you
can ask him for permission, but if not you'll have to ask his estate.
