Alltel Wireless and MTV Networks Launch Popular Entertainment Content on Phones

    Agreement to Provide Customers Diverse Array of Content from COMEDY
                CENTRAL, MTV, Nickelodeon, VH1, CMT and More

    NEW YORK and LITTLE ROCK, Ark., Aug. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- MTV Networks
(MTVN), a unit of Viacom (NYSE: VIA and VIA.B), and Alltel Wireless,
America's largest network, announced that Alltel Wireless is offering
customers a comprehensive suite of programming from MTVN, including
on-demand mobile video, WAP sites, games and personalization features.
    MTVN, the world's leading provider of video on the handset, will begin
offering video from COMEDY CENTRAL, MTV, Nickelodeon, VH1, CMT, The N,
Spike TV, MTV Tr3s, GameTrailers.com and IFILM. In addition, Alltel
Wireless will offer mobile web sites from COMEDY CENTRAL, MTV and VH1.
Games and personalization features from hit franchises such as COMEDY
CENTRAL's Emmy and Peabody-Award winning "South Park," MTV's "The Hills,"
and Nickelodeon's "SpongeBob SquarePants" will also be accessible on
capable Alltel phones.

range of exclusive made-for-mobile content directly on the phone. Select
MTVN programming and content will be accessible via Celltop, Alltel's
exclusive, patent-pending technology that provides customers an easier way
to access, manage, and organize a wide range of information already
available on their phones.
