Explanation:
In the rat, the forestomach is separated from the glandular stomach by a fold of the forestomach mucosa which generates the "limiting ridge" on the inner surface of the organ. This ridge overlaps a deep groove which is flanked proximally by the forestomach and distally by the glandular stomach.

Извините, Игорь, что не сразу отвечаю - отсутствовал. Насколько я понимаю, общепринятого русского эквивалента данного термина не существует, да и в английском этот термин нередко берут в кавычки. Я думаю, достаточно дать описательный перевод, как предложила Марина (складка слизистой или тяж - это несущественно).

Asker: Я выберу Ваш вариант (поскольку за сутки никаких других не появилось), но хотелось бы сначала немного обсудить, что же мне поставить в перевод. Мне чем-то не нравится "ограничивающий желудок". Это похоже на буквальный перевод, который меня не устраивал. После Вашего пояснения я начал склоняться к варианту "тяж, разграничивающий железистую и нежелезистую части желудка". В данной ситуации меня больше волнует точность перевода, а не красота слога. Конечно, объяснение про "железистую и нежелезистую" существенно тяжелее, я бы даже сказал "железистее", но тем не менее. Как Вы считаете, оно точнее при переводе, чем "ограничивающий желудок"? И второй вопрос. Если точнее, то (на Ваш взгляд) нужна ли такая точность? Я немало встречал ситуаций, когда слишком точный и подробный перевод был бы излишен.
