¹⁰ And the angel of Jehovah said unto her, I will greatly multiply thy seed, that it shall not be numbered for multitude.

¹³ And she called the name of Jehovah that spake unto her, ^[a]Thou art ^[b]a God that seeth: for she said, Have I even here looked after him that seeth me?

² and he lifted up his eyes and looked, and, lo, three men stood over against him: and when he saw them, he ran to meet them from the tent door, and bowed himself to the earth, ³ and said, ^[a]My lord, if now I have found favor in thy sight, pass not away, I pray thee, from thy servant: ⁴ let now a little water be fetched, and wash your feet, and rest yourselves under the tree:

¹³ And Jehovah said unto Abraham, Wherefore did Sarah laugh, saying, Shall I of a surety bear a child, who am old? ¹⁴ Is anything too ^[a]hard for Jehovah? At the set time I will return unto thee, when the season cometh round, and Sarah shall have a son.

³³ And Jehovah went his way, as soon as he had left off communing with Abraham: and Abraham returned unto his place.

¹¹ And the angel of Jehovah called unto him out of heaven, and said, Abraham, Abraham: and he said, Here am I. ¹² And he said, Lay not thy hand upon the lad, neither do thou anything unto him; for now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only son, from me.

¹⁵ And the angel of Jehovah called unto Abraham a second time out of heaven, ¹⁶ and said, By myself have I sworn, saith Jehovah, because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son,

¹¹ And the angel of God said unto me in the dream, Jacob: and I said, Here am I.

¹³ I am the God of Beth-el, where thou anointedst a pillar, where thou vowedst a vow unto me: now arise, get thee out from this land, and return unto the land of thy nativity.

² And the angel of Jehovah appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed.
