The Nomads is an online support forum for those affected by Hepatitis. Originally set up for HCV patients they have now included a HBV section on their forum. It is a valuable resource for information with items from the latest research, published papers on HCV, treatment and new drug trials. It can only be viewed by registering and all membership is free. It does focus on the social side of support and is a good place to find like minded people in a similar predicament. Carers and health professionals are also members and all are welcome.

Hep C victims caught in 'waiting game': Tainted Blood; Many fear they will die before money arrives

May 8, 2008

CALGARY -After being cut out of federal compensation funds before, and waiting for promised medical help that never showed up, some of Canada's "forgotten" hepatitis C victims are understandably skeptical they'll see a penny from the Conservative government's latest pledge to tainted-blood victims. Unfortunately, they may be right.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Janice Pilon-Trudeau. Janice was a forerunner in the fight for advocacy & support for persons living with HCV, forming the first Hep Support group in Windsor. It was with her help and advice that the Hep C Network was born.
