In the spirit of DMing, you may find yourself looking for as many sources as possible to maximize your gaming experience. In light of everything you may use search engines and find all sorts of useless websites, and then there’s a few diamonds in the rough. Well, we made it easier on you by posting the most useful DM links found in one spot.

Note: If there's any broken links, let me know... Thanks!

Also, please disable your sigs so I can get to the links easier and make more room for them. Thanks!

My thanks go out to Doug C (the original links guy), Fixxxer, Dash Branaghan, PenderGrass, Unholydragoon, canamrock and the many others who have helped me out in the past and provided many of the links below.

I would also like to thank nekrolog, Vamagoss, DmLingSter, Farland, zarffyn, Kalidor, Domni Dalrose, Megadev, jgbrowning, KingOfChaos, ShogunWarrior, Kungfudude, Birched, Kexizzoc, Lottelita, Star Warrior X, Neonsamouri, Herithious, and goblin85 for posting links to this thread on the old boards. I apologize if I have forgotten anyone or mispelled anyone's name. :)

I hope other DMs find them as useful as I have.

I'd like to offer the following links:

For category #9: Silven Crossroads- D&D (http://www.silven.com/adnd.asp):
Featuring new product reviews, forums, PRCs, Feats, Spells, Items, Advice Columns, and more. New content is added weekly.

I'd also like to propose an additional category: Ezines. There are a TON of good ezines out there, almost all for free, and all providing invaluable tips, ideas, and advice for DMs and players alike. Here are a few:

The Silven Trumpeter (http://www.silven.com/articles.asp?case=ezine)

DougC would like to be able to add the links, but he had to shut his internet service off. He still pops online via his local library, but he can't access the WotC site because it's earmarked as "Games and Entertainment", which the library seems to have blocked.

Actually, it never occured to me that he could simply give me his password and I could add the links. Or Kaya Kenobi's thread could replace Doug's...one or the other. :)

Thank you, Kaya and Wizo_Pony.

Excellent job, Kaya. It's nice to see that the Useful DM Links thread is able to be edited again.

My computer crashed and, as Fixxxer has said, I am unable to access these boards from our local library. I will only be able to be here for no more than an hour today, local internet cafe, $6.00/hour. It's been so long, I can't even remember my password and my e-mail address has changed, so I had to unwillingly create another account.

Fixxxer informed me that Kaya would be taking over the thread and I wanted to take a look-see. Unfortunately, I don't have enough time and money to hang out as long I was I would like.

I'll be seeing you guys when I'm able to get another system and get back on-line without restrictions.

Keep up the good work, Kaya.

Happy gaming everyone!

Fractal Mapper (http://www.nbos.com/products/mapper/mapper.htm) has a built-in City name generator. In fact, it even auto generates demographics for each city you add with data including: population & racial breakdown, ruler, ruler's deity, chief industry, established churches, schools, taverns, fees, weapon laws, a general description and adventure hooks.

BTW, to the thread author: you can add www.Dundjinni.com to mapping category. Dundjinni is only in public beta right now, but should be released for purchase relatively soon.

I've been working on an online index of D&D / d20 products, which you might want to add to your list.

The index contains the book and page number where you can find thousands of monsters, spells, magic items, classes, prestige classes, psionic powers, etc. The index currently contains over 12,000 items, covering virtually all WotC 3.0 and 3.5 products, and a number of D20 products as well. You can add new books and their items to the index online.

There is something that I found, The site may have been posted here.. I'm just to tired to check them out right now. But the program from this link (http://pcp.rpgprofiler.net/) is a PCPROFILER. It has an automatic calculation for the stat's up to 999. It's simple, and fast for NPC's, and PC's if you want to print them out. It also has a Magic sheet, a dice roller, and a pic area for your NPC's, PC's character pics. I found that it really help's when you need a NPC at the last minute.

This site here (http://www.dndresources.com/index.php/articles/c42/) is where I found the PCProfiler..

This is somewhat new to me, so my link's may mess up..

Chaotic God's tactical analysis of Astral Deva. All of Chaotic God's work in this regard is absolutely incredible, and it's great stuff for a DM who's going to use one of the few monsters he has covered. There are three other monsters he has done - I assume they are on the old MM board, because I can't find them - his achaierai, aboleth and (forget the third) should all be listed in the DM thread links. If you read one, you'll see immediately why. Each one is Regdar's or Dragon Magazine quality.

Hiya, Kaya. :D

The "Encounter EL & XP Calculator 4.01 For 3.5 use" link is currently working.

The "Encounter Calculator" link above it, however, is not.

The "Everchanging Book of Names" link doesn't seem to be working for me at the moment, either. This could very well be a temporary thing though, considering it's EBoN.

The "Legolas Fantasy and Medieval Maps" link is giving me this message: "Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, root@localhost and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log."

I'm not sure if it's my computer or the link itself.

"The Era of Inhuman Birth" is apparently dead at this time also.

When I click on "Mortality.net" I get a blank screen and "Night Emerald" gives me this message: "Forbidden You don't have permission to access /soz/ on this server.-----Apache/1.3.28 Server at members.dodo.net.au Port 80"

"d20 System Roleplaying Pages (Resources)" is giving me a blank screen also.

"Fritz's House Rules" and the "RPG Program Links" link "...cannot be found" either.

The first "More Downloads" link gives this message: "Warning: main(modules//.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /http/forums/news/modules.php on line 16 Warning: main(): Failed opening 'modules//.php' for inclusion (include_path='.:/usr/local/lib/php') in /http/forums/news/modules.php on line 16"

"Chessex RPG Accessories," "Discount D&D Superstore," "DM's Netbook," "Evermore Entertainment For those who still prefer 2e," "Andy Collins.com," "Trap Page Manager," "Dungeons and Dragons Online Games," "Role Playing Tips Weekly," "The RPG Times," "Dark Sun," "Ere: The Lost Plane," "Sinthal," and "How to be a DM, No Interference Style" links "cannot be found/displayed."

Some may be due to my computer/bowser, but I tried clicking on each multiple times.

:)

I found this Hypertext SRD (http://d20srd.org/) that you can go to a creature entry and there's a little eye next to the creature's name, by clicking it you get a scanned picture from the MM. I would think that a creative person could print the picture and make cheap figures that way.

Cool. :D The way you worded it in your original post, it sounded as if you were unsure as to whether you would be back or not.

Ditto,

Glad to know will see you again. Best Wishes

What a d_a_m_n fine thread this is. Gaddzooks, what links!

May I humbly offer up my own scratchy hand drawn Dungeon Floor Plans (http://freespace.virgin.net/william.meddis/floorplans/) for the map list and card accessories. Hoping to add some press-out figures soon - and some other d20 resource stuff but I'll keep quiet unless I never finish it. ;)

Medieval cookery?! Our PCs eat too well already! Stale bread and watered down mead should be good enough for them Mr DougC!
Keep up the good work Kaya et al.

Wow, sorry to hear that real life caught up to Kaya as it does to all of us at some point. Having recently gone through the construction and scheduling to build a new home, I understand how things can pull you away.

I will say that I know the level of work Kaya put in to keeping these links going and I have used them on many occasions. Thanks Kaya and I hope things return to normal for you as quickly as possible.
