• Comments: Finally, after 3 years I'm releasing another amv. I think I started working on this one in the summer of 2009, but I've completely lost track of when I started and how long I spent on this one. A brief warning before I continue: this isn't a happy amv.
  
  I was listening to the first .hack//roots OST, and could picture exactly what to put at the midpoint of the song. From there I built a loose concept of friendship, betrayal and revenge and then started working.
  
  I didn't use any effects in this video (save for zoom, once), but spent some good time in Inkscape and Blender for the credits. The scene in the credits is based off of a clip from the Gungrave OP, but seeing as how that clip only lasted 34 frames I couldn't really use it (the credits are 8 seconds, or roughly 192 frames).
  
  I tried to make this amv in a way so that you don't have to have seen Gungrave to get the story. Yeah, there are spoilers...but if you watch the first two episodes you know what happens down the road and the spoilers become less spoilerish.
  
  The Story:
  This is a story of two friends taking on the world. Inseparable from childhood, they have always done things together. Eventually, an opportunity arises that would change both of their lives. Our protagonist agrees to follow the his friend's plan to make it to the easy life, but soon begins to question his friend's methods. Sensing the threat to his plan, the childhood friend plots the murder of the protagonist and carries out his betrayal.
  
  Years later, advanced technology developed by the antagonist to reanimate the dead gives our protagonist a chance to exact revenge on his old friend.
