Canoo Inc. announced on Wednesday a new partnership with the U.S. Postal Service.

The USPS plans to buy 6 battery-electric Canoo vehicles.

"Canoo is honored to participate as one of the potential suppliers in the groundbreaking electrification and modernization of the U.S. Postal Service’s delivery fleet as announced by the USPS on January 22, 2024," a news release read.

“The multi-purpose platform with steer-by-wire technology and a unique low-profile suspension system allows for a readily configurable right-hand drive system while maintaining desired roll and ride stability,” said Tony Aquila, Investor, Executive Chairman, and CEO of Canoo.

Canoo currently produces vehicles out of its Oklahoma City-based plant.

The State of Oklahoma has a contract with the company to produce vehicles for the state.

Last month, the first three made-in-Oklahoma Canoo vehicles were added to the state's fleet.
