I've heard that there is a sleep state where the intangible seems tangible -
but it's all in the mind.  It "seems" real and "feels" real even though it's
merely a product of  brain activity.  I've also read  it is wise to be
suspect of an experience that occurs upon awakening...like in the middle of
the night to go to the bathroom.  The mind can play tricks.  I personally
would discount an experience as being paranormal when it is associated with
dreaming or waking.
