Does that mean all the money they blow on 'anti-pirating' and those
ridiculous TV ads will go back to their customers in the way of savings on
services?

I have to disagree. I think alot of "testers" who have a minimum
subscription will cancel. I thin that if BEV eliminates testing all
together they will lose alot of subs. I think this is one reason why
BEV has taken so long to do the switch. I think that the pressure from
cable companies and star choice has forced them to do it.

BEV called me last week and told me if I don't change my cards to N2 by
Friday that I will lose my programming.

I have no plan on changing the cards, so lets see if they shut it off.

If they do shut it off, I am finished with them and moving on to something
new.

I will post Friday if there idle threats are valid.

I agree with you. Their sound is shit. I haven't been intyerested in
watching a movie on TV since I went to BEV. I have $5K in audio equipment
and when I had analogue cable it used to perform like a digital theatre. I
haven't heard hardly any stereo effects out of my 2700, 3100 or 5100
garbage.
All the hacking just isn't worth going to the store and renting an old VHS
tape where the room lights up with surround sound again.

Everytime you change a channel you forget and some of the channels almost
break your patio door glass until the fastest person in the room can get the
sound down again. The commercials blow you out of theroom and yet their
movies are so dead and muted you can hardly understand what they are saying.
Some of their movies the channels have been out of phase and trhe centre
channel produces nothing.

BEV is just crap with their 100 French channels only niggers want to
watch...LOL

When it starts to cost more. I am gone.

First of all its the CRTC that forced Bell to do this card swap. If bell was
not going to do something about the grey market then they were not going to
renew thier license. Meaning that CRTC was not going to renew Bell
Expressvu's license, even though Bell was taking thier sweet ass time well
they cant do it forever so thats it now we are in the RED zone. Of course
lets not forget about Videotron babies and all other dam jealous assholes in
the same business as bell.

So , long live free tv.

It just seem to me silly to try to "threaten" to take your business away
from Bell if they stop you from getting non-subscribed channels. Wouldn't
it be much easier to threaten them that you would take your $20 / month
income away from BCE unless they give you all channels for the same $20
before they switched to Nagra2 ? This way, you don't even have to bother
re-programming anything.

No one is trying to be "holier" than thou. You are correct of course, N2 is
there to stop pirates, and BEV is going to miss Art's $20 / month...

You should re-read Art's post again and tell me what he's trying to say,
look for the phrase "idle threats"

Nope. Cable with useless BEV equipment hacked for what I can get sounds
good to me.
I consider it an expensive lesson. They got full price out of me for a 2700,
3100, 5100PVR.

I am not really into their insurance scheme anyway in case I ever have a
movie accident. If I want to watch a movie I can rent it in full surround
sound, go to the movies in GREAT surround sound and stadium seating (have to
hack the candy bar though) or PPV on cable when required. I have a DVD
recorder now, fully programmable so the movies can be time shifted. What
else is there?

If the MS disposable DVDs ever make it out I will have no quams about taking
it to the neighbours house after my didgital recorder has gobbled the image
off it. Who cares when you don't have to return it anyway?

Once again I will spell it out for the slow guy.
.
First: Do you actually think that I or anyone else would tell bell that "I
am not changing my cards and I dare you to change it over to N2 or you will
loose me as a customer""?????...lol.. comon, think about it! You are the one
that couldn't read and para phrased it. Sounds to me like you just wanted to
start a problem and you tried your hardest to read into something that's
just not there???
a very good display of a lack of intelligent or just a lack of plain moral
fibre or maybe you are just another fat guy, very lonely, stuck in a dark
dingy apartment working off a free dial up connection, trying to make your
short comings look invisible by exposing what ever made up crap you can on
someone else.
Well your wish is true ! we are all looking at you and we want to be just
like you, which we all know in the news group that its not possible, you are
to worthy for us!!

You read something and came to your own conclusion on what it meant, which
is obvious you are the only slow one who didn't understand. Everyone else
posted related comments which support the daunting task of figuring out what
their plan of action is.

Lets break this down for the slow guy:

1. *****BEV called me last week and told me if I don't change my cards
to N2 by
Friday that I will lose my programming.****** FACT

2. ******I have no plan on changing the cards, so lets see if they shut
it off.****** MY PERSONAL INTENT ONLY (KEY WORDS "I HAVE NO PLAN" = INTENT,
(WHICH IS SEPARATE FROM THE FIRST SENTENCE, SO THEREFORE IT IS RELATED TO
ANOTHER TIME FRAME, NOT SOMETHING SAID TO THE BEV REP ON THE PRONE).

3.********If they do shut it off, I am finished with them and moving on to
something new.**** FACT (EXPRESSING MY PLAN)

4. ******I will post Friday if their idle threats are valid.****** THIS IS
THE CONCLUSION OF ALL THE FINDINGS BASED ON THE KEY WORD IN THE SENTENCE
"IF" WHICH IS A CONDITION TO A CERTAIN SITUATION.

Despite your ignorance, there are ppl here that would like to know so when
the time comes they can have an insight to any future decisions, more for a
newbie

And on that note, its Friday and I am still watching TV with old cards so
therefore this validates #4 "idle threat" "FACT NOW"

end story your Queen highness...

No, communism is an economic plan and is independent of religion.
Unfortunately, modern religions have shown themselves to be excessively
greedy and self serving, both financially and in terms of perceived
power.

As a result, Marx, quite correctly, outlawed religion as a way of
eliminating a competiting power base.

The USSR is not a valid example of true communism any more then Canada
or the US is a valid example of an open market. The USSR experienced
"Marxism", which was a modified view of communism which was adapted
specifically to accommodate the needs of the USSR at the time. It
included economic, political, social and religious changes.

True communism is likely unworkable in the real world, as is true
capitalism, until the human race, as a species, finds a way to eliminate
those who would unfairly take advantage of "the system"

Socialism is a milder version of communism, one in which capitalism
occurs, but there are gov't controls to prevent anyone from getting
trampled on too badly.

Religious control is completely independent of your chosen economic
system (whether it be communism, socialism or capitalism)

Hey, there very well COULD be a N2 hack out there. And if there is, the
people who have it would smart (brilliant even) to wait until BEV
(first) and Dish Network fully switch to NagraVision 2 before releasing
it. If they do it too soon, BEV and Dish Network will drop the N2 switch
and begin developing N3. Wait until the switch is done and (((THEN)))
