Option Form to choose  (DSE/GE and SEC/VAC/AEC) for Semester-4  starting from January 2024

NOTE. The form is to be filled in after paying the fine. For the same, see the notice at the college website.

Remark. Fill in this form within the given time limit since the allotment of DSE/GE/SEC/VAC papers will be made on the first come first serve basis. Moreover, If within the given time limit we get the data of more than 90% students, the respective allotments and formation of section will be done without delay, so that the subsequent preparations may be made by the college office timely, and the classes start timely in the month of January 2024. 

NOTE. The students those who don't fill this form timely,  may face difficulties resulting due to delay in filling this form! Namely, the college may allot the options forcefully, may impose financial penalty or you may miss your internal assessment evaluation, or you may not be able to attend the classes in Sem-4 due to non-allotment of the paper etc. 

CAUTION. Don't use mobile phone to fill in this form.

All the Hons. course students must choose GE paper very carefully, as it will/may have an impact on the nature of your degree which you will be completing after 3 (or 4) years!  Likewise, all the BSc Program  students are advised (a suggestion only) to choose  DSE paper, as it will/may have an impact on the nature of your degree which you will be completing after 3 (or 4) years! 

The GE may be chosen from any department other than own CORE course(s)/department.

It is essential to have studied Mathematics in Class 12th in order to choose GE from Mathematics Department.

THIS FORM IS COMPULSARY FOR ALL SEMESTER 3 (HONORS AND PROGRAMME) STUDENTS FOR CHOOSING:

1. GE (General Elective) - The following rules are to be followed.

Remember: A student belonging to any course  is not allowed to opt for GE paper of the Parent Department(s).

(a) For BA Program - All those students who do not have any language as one of their core papers, will study in GE the second paper of the same language which they have studied in Sem-1.   For example, if a student of BA Program studied Hindi-A  in GE-1/Semester-1, he/she will automatically study the second paper of Hindi-A in GE-3. 

Moreover, all those students who have ENGLISH language as one of their core papers, will also study in GE the second paper of the same language which they have studied in Sem-1.

Special: During the Sem-1 / Session:2022-23, there were certain students of BA Program who chose wrong GE paper, must attend the counselling session to be held on December 18, 2023 at 1pm in room no. 10. 

(b) For BCom Program - By default, all the students will study the second paper of English language whose first paper they have already studied in Sem-1. 
 
(c) For All Other Courses - The GE paper can COMPULSARILY BE CHOSEN FROM A DEPARTMENT OTHER THAN OWN CORE/DISCIPLINE. A student cannot opt for GE paper of the Parent Department(s). 

2. SEC (Skill Enhancement Course) - TO BE CHOSEN AS PER CHOICE ONLY AMONGST OPTIONS OFFERED BY THE COLLEGE. Be careful, that you must not choose the paper title which you have already taken in Sem-1, or Sem-2, or Sem-3 !

NOTE. We  have asked in the Google form to give 3 preferences for the SEC paper. (i) All the 3 preferences for SEC must be different. (ii) Also, don't select any SEC option which you must have already studied in either of the previous three semesters.  If you don't strictly follow (i) and (ii), college may allot you a SEC title itself, if needed. [ONLY one preference is left now from December 30-31, 2023]

3. VAC (Value Addition Course) -   TO BE CHOSEN AS PER CHOICE ONLY AMONGST OPTIONS OFFERED BY THE COLLEGE. Be careful, that you must not choose the paper title which you have already taken in Sem-1, or Sem-2, or Sem-3 !

NOTE.  We  have asked in the Google form to give 3 preferences for the VAC paper.  (i) All the 3 preferences for VAC must be different. (ii) Also, don't select any VAC option which you must have already studied in either of the previous three semesters.  If you don't strictly follow (i) and (ii), college may allot you a SEC title itself, if needed. [ONLY one preference is left now from December 30-31, 2023]

4. AEC (Ability Enhancement Course) - In this semester,  AEC is automatically fixed for all the students as explained below:  The students of all those courses who studied Environmental Studies (EVS) in Sem-2, will now study the 2nd paper of EVS. And, the students of all those courses who studied any Indian Language in Sem-2, will now study the 2nd paper of the SAME language.

NOTE: NO QUERIES OR REQUESTS FOR ANY CHANGE REGARDING GE, SEC & VAC PAPERS WILL BE ENTERTAINED AFTER THE LAST DATE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.

The data received through this Form will be FINAL.

3. No further enquiries, representation, grievances or requests in other mode besides this Form will be accepted.

5. Multiple entries would not be accepted. You may edit the form to revise your submitted options any time before the last date.
