transferring mp3s from a mac to a rio cali using itunes

Does anyone know how to do this? The iTunes directions don't help, and
neither do the directions for the Rio Cali. The Cali shows up in the
"Source List" on iTunes, but we can't figure out how to transfer
files. We've installed the appropriate plugin from the CD that came with the device.

Dragging and dropping doesn't work.

You do have to make sure that there is enough free space on the Rio to
accept the material being transferred.

Me too, or (simpler) I can just drag in an entire playlist. m.

PS I think there's been a recent firmware upgrade for this device, so
check on the riomusic site just in case that has anything to do with the
matter. Also there is some kind of installer there as well.

Thanks for your responses. The computer did not automatically
recognize the Rio when it was first plugged in. Only after adding the
plugin did the icon show up in the source list.

We'll try the things that you have suggested.
