Scan with 'face of Jesus' shows baby really is a miracle

When Amanda Skelding discovered she was pregnant, her first
thought was that she and her fiancé James should be married
by the time the child arrived.
The couple visited a church minister to discuss the ceremony and he gave them and the baby a blessing.
A week later, 23-year-old Miss Skelding went for an ultrasound scan at hospital - and became convinced that divine intervention was involved.

Image of Christ?: Amanda McLean believes the scan of the baby girl she thought she'd never have shows the face of Jesus
Staring out of the grainy black-and-white image was a face that she instantly recognised as similar to traditional images of Jesus.
While perhaps not immediately obvious, closer examination reveals the shape of an eye, nose and mouth, with beard below.

"It was the weirdest thing ever - it really made me feel quite strange, but in a good way," she said.
Miss Skelding, who last week became Mrs McLean, suffers from the womb complaint endometriosis and has had two miscarriages.
Doctors had told her she had less than a one in ten chance of giving birth to a healthy child, but she is now expecting a daughter on June 23.
"Up until that scan, the hospital had been really worried about the pregnancy - but from then on, things just turned around so much," she said at her home in Glasgow.
"The baby started kicking much more and got stronger every day. In fact, they?re saying now that she could be early because she?s so big."
Mrs McLean added: "I didn't always go to church regularly before, but now I?m there all the time. I really feel that someone up there is looking after our little girl before she even gets here."

I thought it looked more like Neanderthal Man.
But then I live in the real world, so I l know it is not Neanderthal man. It just looks like him, so I am not reading into something that is not there. Just a minute the tea stain on my coaster looks like Richard Branson, wonder what that could mean.

Why this couple thinks God is looking down on them in particular I have no idea. There are many fertile atheists, and many infertile Christians, so fertility is not a sign of religious faith. Unfortunately too many people who have a baby through sheer luck think that it is because they somehow deserved a special blessing.
