A federal judge has ordered Gawker to remove excerpts of Sarah Palin‘s new book that the media-gossip site posted last week, the New York Times reported.
The site on Saturday was ordered to take down the more than a dozen pages it had posted of America by Heart: Reflections on Family, Faith, and Flag until a Nov. 30 hearing, said a spokeswoman for HarperCollins, the book’s publisher.
On Saturday night, the original post about the book had been removed.
Following Gawker’s posting, Palin took to Twitter to express her disappointment.
“The publishing world is LEAKING out-of-context excerpts of my book w/out my permission? Isn’t that illegal?” she wrote Thursday.
On Friday, HarperCollins sued the site, which did not respond to a request for comment from the Times.
The book, which is still excerpted on Palin’s Facebook page, is set for release Tuesday.
