I am so sorry to hear about your Dad. He was a very caring person who loved you and your family very much. My brother so enjoyed spending time with you and your father at your place in South Carolina. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Mr. Jeremiah Milbank, Jr., walked with quiet strength...his contribution to the Boys And Girls Clubs of America will be hard to duplicate... The A.G. Gaston boys club in Birmingham, Alabama, provided and still provides, a wholesome outlet for the underserved youth of the community... We knew of Mr. Milbank from his activities with the republican national committee, where he was an originator of the eagles...he was the example of quiet republicanism for fellow life long republicans, those true to basic republican principles, to emulate...we are quite sadden to learn of his passing...may god bless his soul and may he be remembered for the examples he set.

The Manhattan College alumni community shares your grief, and is now praying for our fellow honorary alumni and the family at this time. The Alumni Office has been informed. As well as the Jasper Jottings community that I personally can reach. We are all a little poorer now. "No man is an island, entire of itself … any man’s death diminishes me". We are sorry for your loss.

It was a privilege to know Jerry. His abilities and accomplishments were important, but it was his humanity, humility and humor that mattered. He gave so much, in New York, the Adirondacks, Greenwich, and Charlottesville. He always left a place better for having been there.
