Who is posting on behalf of scientology here and some simple ways to find out

Once one has checked out one, only one, poster who is in fact writing
on behalf of scientology or osa (office of special affairs a kind of
KGB of scientology) it will be easier to say who else is a phony
critic, which means someone, who only claims to be a critic of
scientology, but is in fact an undercover agent.

OSA (scientologists) posters have certain characteristics, I point out
a few:

- they quote Hubbard frequently
- they recommend you to read "both sides", which means nothing else
but to read Hubbard
- their postings have an aggressive, rude tone, their writings often
have mistakes. I know, my posts have mistakes too, but I am not a
native speaker. Their typos are distorted by intention, to give you
the impression "critics" are unable to articulate well, are stupid,
uneducated, unknowledged
- they provide you with links to websites outside of this newsgroup.
Truth Seeker has written articles about that e.g. :: Here's the real
reason the OSA trolls want you to go on those "xenu" web sites ::

- instead of giving you some good advice, like adresses of official
governmental helplines for victims of that cult, like addresses of
lawyers ... they will give you commands. Their favorite command is:
"Read Hubbard" or "visit this website". The websites which they
provide are websites of scientology, even if they look on the surface
as if they would be critical of the cult
- be suspicious if someone puts up her telephone number on the
internet. A true critic most likely will not do that. A true critic
has reason to remain unidentified
- they write like obsessed about famous (more or less famous)
scientologists, very often about Tom Cruise, but uninteresting things
like whether he kissed his fiance or not and they think about the name
of the baby, things like that
- they love to qualify true critics but the way as scientologists
would qualify, that means that they e.g. put their tone scale (Hubbard
invention) on a true critic and try to "accuse" the true critic to be
here or there on that scale, which the true critic of course is not
bothered about
- they will discourage you to go to the FBI or any other governmental
office
- they will write things which scare you, intimidate you, which leave
you with a feeling of uneasyness
- that all is underlying their on the surface seemingly critical
posts. But it is not hurting scientology if one or the other writes
that Miscavige is a dwarf.
- they will try to find out about you, the one or the other way. I
presume they try to contact you via eMail, they try to invite you to
some picket, to sign a petition, things like that. I have never
eMailed or privately messaged anybody here or on ocmb. I simply do not
do it. Never. Nobody.
- if you run a website or a blog critical of scientology they will try
to crack you or they will try to influence you so that you in fact
make a site which they find convenient. They will try to make you to
their pawn.
The list is not complete. I will try to work on it and update it, from
time to time.

I would ask you to write (anonymously) if you find something "wrong"
with one of my postings. If it leaves questions open for you. Some of
my postings have sarcasm involved and that can bring people who do not
know many of my posts to false conclusions. Please do not hesitate to
ask in that case. I am sure, I will be able to clear this up.

In it, Truthseeker and Magoo were asked about CBS News story about
the tragic murder of scientologist Elli Perkins by her son Jeremy
(who was also a scientologist) when he was suffering from untreated
schizophrenia.

Truthseeker will not even acknowledge the CBS news expose. Not only
does Truthseeker refuse to discuss the Perkins tragedy, he attempts
to distract from the subject by attacking the messenger.

Magoo, on the other hand, encourages people to discuss this and
learn about it.

Why would a critic try to turn discussion away from such subjects?

In fairness, your support of truthseeker does not necessarily
demonstrate that you are either gullible or stupid. It is certainly
possible that you are, like truthseeker, a manipulative liar who is
simply trying to distract people from discussing the criminally
convicted organization known as the Church of Scientology.

Only you know your motives. The rest of us can just guess,
