Balloonatic loose in Wesley Chapel?

Once again, a darned shame the Pasco County Sheriff’s Department didn’t save the homemade balloon debris that supposedly explained the 3/14/08 video near Tampa. Because it might’ve cleared up another triangular UFO sighting.

Jeff Way, an IT director for Global Energy, saw something in the sky one evening around 8:45 p.m. He spotted it through his porch screen as it passed between his and a neighbor’s house. He estimates it was maybe 30-40 feet in length, perhaps 300-400 feet in altitude, and it involved a triangle of dim, grey-ish lights.

Otherwise, the thing was black, made no noise, and it was gone within 10 seconds.

Way was so intrigued, he told his wife about it, then went online and reported it to ufoinfo.com on Oct. 6, 2007. And he forgot about it until Luis Jimenez’s video made Internet rounds after being televised on Fox TV-13.

What’s interesting is that Way lives just a mile and a half from where Jimenez filmed the 3/14 triangle UFO, in the small town of Wesley Chapel. And, like Jimenez, he’s a little suspicious of the balloon story.

“I’m not a (UFO) skeptic or an enthusiast. I just saw something I couldn’t explain,” says Way. “But it did not appear to be anything like (a balloon). It appeared like a craft, and it didn’t move erratically. And I’m pretty sure it wasn’t windy that night.”

Again — sure would be nice to have that wrecked balloon. Maybe get some fingerprints and arrest the responsible balloonatic for littering in Wesley Chapel.
