    About the Project:
Ayumi Hamasaki (浜崎 あゆみ, October 2, 1978–) is an award-winning Japanese popular music (J-Pop) singer. Known as “Ayu” by her fans, Hamasaki is one of Japan’s most popular pop singers and has been dubbed the “Empress of J-Pop”. This Multi Editor Project, Coordinated by me and edited by many well known editors from the AMV community, aims to take Remixes of some of her best songs and put visual art to express the music in a stylistic way.

This is a follow up to the first Ayumix, and premeired at Anime Weekend Atlanta 13, September 21st 2007 right before amv hell, and turned out to be a phenomenal showing with a great audience response. Thank you to all who attended and helped make the première a grand success.

I assure you that every editor involved gave their all, and I must say, thanks to them, the project has turned out phenominal. I dare say maybe even better than the first. I fully enjoyed working with the entire cast of Ayumix2, and gained a valuable experience both in editing and working as a team, and Thank all the fellow editors that helped make this project a success.

"Our track is a result of countless hours of skype, plunges into After Effects, complete faith in a show we knew little about, and the best editing experience either of us could have ever asked for. Though we were over 2000 miles apart, we were still able to collaborate on each and every second of the track, and we're really happy with the way things turned out. Many thanks to Bakadeshi for giving us the opportunity to edit for such a great project!"

    [Connected - Talla 2XLC remix]
    09:34-10:17 - Segment J 0:43
    (Card Captor Sakura)

    Chiikaboom says:
"Getting into ayu was a big deal for me, simply because i loved the first one and always wished i could've been a part of it. Originally, i used Princess Tutu for my track, but sadly my sisters HD had to crash a month before the final deadline, and i lost all my footage ;___; after editing that track for a good 5 months or so, i started losing tutu editing love, i couldnt bring myself to have to edit it all over again, so i simply switched by source to Cardcaptor Sakura. As a result, i had to edit really hardcore with the only month i had to edit with, and im happy to say i quite like how it turned out, although im sure if i didnt have to rush it i would have been able to experiment with it a lot more. Plus, this was the first time i had to edit whilst being under lots of pressure. Since the first ayumix was so great, im sure people assumed the second one would be even better, so i would literally be editing for several hours in one sitting. In the end, everyone did an amazing job on their tracks, and i think Ayumix 2 is the best mep out yet. Im really glad i could've been a part of it"
