RYP, one of the greatest "soulful gospel" groups of all time, The Spirit of Memphis Quartet, had an album [King/Gusto LP 5020] collecting their 50's singles. Bought the LP, replaced it with the later cd issue of it...now stolen. If u have this and can post it [or point me to it], my thanx in advance. PS: they later moved to Peacock and these 60s sides featured a pre-solo O.V. Wright on vocals!...never ever even SEEN, much less heard, these. But i can't imagine [whew!]...that S.O.M. collection will knock you to the floor and was my introduction to just how "soulful" gospel really was, when i was young and trying to follow the [obvious] connection. I hope someone has this, and i recommend it to everyone with even the slightest interest. These guys were ON FIRE! Thanx again.

Whoops. Spoke too soon. RS has "nuked and redirected" the link for this. Compelling me to make, um, two requests. :)

1. unfortunately I can't help with the Spirit of Memphis Quartet.
and 2. some other links are gone now too. In the moment I don't know if I have the time for reups...
