::SUMMARY OF THE 5TH ANNUAL DARK SKY FESTIVAL AT HARMONY ::

The Rain Gods Must Have Seen Us Dancing
There Was Not A Drop of Rain During Harmony's Dark Sky Festival

HARMONY, FL – April 5, 2008 (11pm EST) - Approximately 2,000 people from all over the state attended the 5th year of this out-of-this-world event in the environmentally intelligent town of Harmony.

The Indoor Education Zone had a steady flow of traffic.

Brevard Community College's mobile planetarium, StarLab, was a huge hit.

Astronomers had lines of people waiting to see observe specific stars and the planet Saturn.

Florida's Best Robotics students, The St. Cloud Storm Cats, showcased their award winning demonstrations.

The Cosmic Kids Zone was packed with children of all ages playing glow in the dark mini golf, making smores and jumping in the Moonwalk.

And legendary band Rare Earth ROCKED!

One of the biggest highlights of the evening, besides everyone having FUN, was the buzz around town about fighting light pollution.

75% of the attendees were not from the Town of Harmony.
