CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The Charlotte 49ers have announced several key dates for the upcoming 2024 football season, including Homecoming, Hall of Fame Weekend, and Family Weekend.

Charlotte's annual Homecoming Game will be held Sat, Nov. 16 vs. South Florida. The game will be a part of the university's Niner Nation Week which includes Homecoming.
The 49ers also announced that their Hall of Fame Game will be held on Sept. 14 vs. Gardner-Webb. Charlotte will officially induct its 2024 Athletics Hall of Fame Class in a ceremony on Friday, Sept. 13. The Gardner-Webb game will also be the Family Weekend game.
Charlotte's season-opener will be Saturday, Aug. 31 vs. James Madison. The 49ers welcome in-state rival ECU to Richardson Stadium Saturday, Oct. 5 for the first AAC home game of the season. Charlotte hosts Tulane in a Halloween matchup, Thursday, Oct. 31. The final home game against UAB will be either Nov. 29 or 30. The game date will be finalized by the conference by October 14.
Kickoff times and television designations for the first three weeks of the season, as well as the season-long weeknight games, will be finalized by June 1. The rest of the schedule will fall under the customary 12-day and six-day selection processes.

Season tickets for the 2024 season are currently on sale and guarantee the same great seats for all six home games in Richardson Stadium. The James Madison and ECU games are expected to have limited capacity for single-game tickets. The University's Transition and Success Initiatives office will have an allotment of tickets to sell this fall to families for the Gardner-Webb game, but fans can guarantee their spot for Family Weekend today with a season ticket purchase.
