This is a reproduction of a pictorial map of the Arrowhead region, originally created in 1929 by members of the Hibbing American Association of University Women Branch. On January 21, 1929, the making of a pictorial map of the Arrowhead was suggested by a special projects committee of AAUW, as a means of raising money for scholarship and fellowship programs. Artwork for the body of the map was done by Miss Irene Anderson, and Miss Kathryn Arnquist made the border and blocks. Both were teachers in the Hibbing school system. Research was done by Miss Irma Walker, Hibbing librarian, who wrote a pamphlet that accompanied the map titled "The Story of the Arrowhead Country from the Age of Stone to the Age of Steel." In 2010, the Hibbing American Association of University Women Branch began planning to resurrect the map to fulfill its original purpose. The map was scanned and reprinted, and is now available for purchase to help support the Hibbing AAUW Branch scholarship program. The dimensions are 34.5 x 21 inches. Thank you!

This is a very nice and interesting map. My only complaint would be that, for a near-sighted older person like me, the text is small, faint, and difficult to read. I still like the map and appreciate that the proceeds support the Hibbing AAUW.
