Clean Up the Mohawk Tannery Site in Nashua NH

Send a letter to the EPA.

In Nashua, NH, the site of the former Mohawk Tannery threatens the health of our children and could contaminate downstream communities for generations to come. Even though the Tannery closed decades ago, the site still houses toxic, cancer-causing waste that puts the Nashua and Merrimack Rivers and our drinking water in jeopardy.

It is possible to revitalize this contaminated site. A responsible cleanup of the Tannery could turn this toxic site into a source of city pride, making our city more inviting to new business and keeping our children healthy.

We’re calling on the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to permanently clean up all contaminated and potentially contaminated areas at the Mohawk Tannery by responsibly disposing of waste off-site. Please sign our petition to support a safe, responsible cleanup.
