[Eurasia] Official Town Thread

*The official opening is anticipated to be sometime in September/October 2014*​

As of January 24, 2014 (Friday), I claimed the town of Eurasia.
It is a sparkling and gorgeous mesa town. (200x200)

Location: Mesa biome, Rising world.

This town will be somewhat preserved. However, I will be creating some large houses and buildings. [more to come soon] I plan on applying for a warp soon...for now, I can do tps.

Spoiler: Rules

1. Follow all general server rules. Go to www.ecocitycraft.com/rules

2. NO GRIEFING!!! [This is heavily enforced] Griefers will be removed, lwc'ed, and banned from the town, depending on severity.

3. Courtesy (pretty self-explanatory). Occasional slip-ups for swearing and such are permitted, but direct harassment/rudeness to other players will result in an ECC moderator involvement.

4. Inactivity of 10 or more consecutive days without prior notice will result in all items being lwc'ed with no refund. The player will also be removed. There are no exceptions, except in extenuating circumstances only. This can be avoided by forum PMing or /mailing me the start and end dates of inactivity.

5. Please do not alter the exterior of your home/mansion without prior notification and approval. They have been built to a certain theme. Failure to comply will be treated as griefing and will be met with a town removal with no refund.

6. Breaking & Entering Other property = Griefing (See Rules #1 and 2)

7. These rules are subject to change, notification will be given every time they are clarified/reworded/rules added.

8. I may give grace periods or warnings instead of instant removal in the case the breach was minor and accidental. This is on a case-by-case basis, and up to my discretion.

9. Have fun!

10. Trolling is not welcome here. We have a zero-tolerance policy for trolling in particular.
Trolling includes member/mayor disrespect, refusing to leave the town after being asked, etc.

Spoiler: Consequences

Although I do hope I never have to enforce these rules, I have laid out potential consequences for breaches below (may vary based on severity). Griefing on any scale is automatic insta-removal from town and lwcs, grief report filed as well. Also, any offenses that occur in major offenses=town ban

Each player is allowed to incur up to 3 points in the course of a month (varies by severity). 3 warnings=removal with 3 day notice (except for griefing, permanent bans, etc).

As soon as a player reaches 3 points, he/she will be notified to pack belongings and leave within 3 days. Co-mayors reserve the right to issue warnings as they see fit. Should you feel a mayor or any town member is abusing privileges/breaking town rules, and I or another co-mayor is not online at the time: FORUM PM ME in the following format. False reports constitute as trolling and the user will receive 2 points automatically (explained below).

Minor offenses (powertool spamming by accident, unexpected cursing, etc.) (0.5-1 pt).
1st occurence: No consequences.
Subsequently: Town warning.

Moderate offenses (repeated cursing, minor trolling repeatedly, minor harrassment, continued rudeness, etc.) (1.5-2 pt).
1st occurence: Town warning (next warning for this type will result in a 3-day town eviction).
Subsequently: If the player exceeds one warning for moderate offenses, he/she will be evicted after 3 days.

Major Offenses (Griefing, Harrassment, Continued Disrespect, ignoring rules) (3 pt & town ban).
1st occurence: 3 day notification to pack belongings and leave. You are NOT allowed to destroy your home unless you built it. If you purchased it from the town, then the home will remain the property of the town. You will only be allowed to remove locks/things you added. ECC Staff involvement may be necessary.
[In moderate/major griefing, there will be no warning given] Town ban may be issued.
Subsequently: N/A as there is a zero-tolerance policy for these types of offenses.

Spoiler: Ban Clause

Should a member be banned by a staff member, he/she will not be removed from the town unless one or more of the following happens:

a) 7 days pass without any appeal whatsoever.
b) 10 days pass without a successful appeal.
c) The ban is for griefing of any town, staff disrespect, trolling, blackmail/harassment, or abuse of a hacked client.
d) The ban is a Perma-Ban.
e) The temporary ban (if applicable) is longer than a period of 3 days.

I am now hiring builders to assist in construction. If like to build, and want to be paid for it as well, then apply in this thread!

For the most part, for each build I assign, I will pay upwards of 20-25k, up to a potential 50-60k. This all depends on what I'm asking to be built as well as the quality of the final project.

Prerequisites:
~Must be on the server for a minimum 2 months. This is to prove you have dedication and will not leave the job halfway through.

~Be a resident+. After several bad experiences with hiring builders (the rank), I have added this requirement.

~Have experience with building IN ECC. I am more than happy to see your creative builds, but I need to see evidence that you have built for another player on ECC. I care more about quality than quantity. Meaning, I would choose a builder who has done two, well-detailed builds compared to one who has done countless minor builds.

~No history of griefing, scamming, or harrassing/trolling. I can be lenient for most other bans, if applicable.

~Be able to play online for at least 7-10 hours per week. This should not be a problem, as it averages out to about 1-1.5 hours on ECC per day.

~Have experience of working with clay. This can be proven under the "pictures of builds" question.

You are currently banned for griefing, and according to posts in your ban appeal, you griefed more than one block.
Also, you state you have not griefed on protected land, so how does that explain your ban?
I am finding holes in your story, as well as the fact that you don't seem to be telling the truth, or all parts of it.
I will give a decision following an accepted appeal.

Once you are back in-game, I will edit out this thread with the final decision. But so far, considering your history, I am now a bit wary of giving you this position. However, I will not immediately deny it either.

On Hold until Ban Appeal is Accepted​

 

Regarding the Following:

Considering how you are a new member according to forums (7 days only as of April 15), and you griefed, despite being aware it was against the rules, I cannot trust you unless you do the following:

1) Have a period of 30 days in which you are not banned for any reason (this excludes ban requests or misunderstandings)
2) Become a mayor OR remain on the server/have a good history for 30 days (this means no complaints against you too!)
3) Demonstrate your ability to run a town (become a co-mayor and notify me via forum pm). If you cannot do this, then provide proof of a successful transaction (preferably 5k+) (e.g.: Pumpkin Axe, Maxed Pickaxe, sale of town, etc.) with another player (link to forum contract)

Had you not griefed in the first place, I could have considered your application more, but unfortunately, this is not the case.

The main reason for the 30 day probationary period is due to the need to ensure you will not arbitrarily quit without prior notice or remove me from the town's permission list.

If you are willing to do your best to uphold these conditions, then not only will your trust among players in ECC increase significantly, but you will also prove to me that you are a trustworthy and benevolent player who is willing to help others.
Should you follow these conditions, I can very seriously consider adding you to the region.

Until then, I do hope you will continue ranking up in the server over the course of the next 30 days. Should you wish to re-apply (optional) on the earliest date (May 15, 2014) with an even more insightful application, then your chances will increase this way as well.

P.S.: According to this link, it does not appear you only broke one grass block. Honesty is the best policy .

I would hope to add pictures at some point later on, but currently, very few changes have been made to the land. The only elements of the town itself that have been completed are surrounding border wall and the Eurasia town sign (similar to the HOLLYWOOD sign)

If you would like to perhaps live here, I will notify the ECC community on this thread whenever town construction is mostly finished or complete. (Likely sometime in June after most activities come to an end)
